本课是北师大版《初中英语》八年级下册教材第6单元的Cmmunicatin Wrkshp，话题为描写一个自己读过的侦探故事。本单元的话题为侦探和侦探故事。在本单元的16、17、18课学生在听力和阅读活动中已经就相关内容进行了学习，获取了关于侦探和侦探故事的相关信息，为本节课书面输出做好了语言准备。
本课话题难点为如何根据故事内容向同学清晰地描述故事的起因、经过和结果。教学设计分为两个课时。第一课时侧重在范文中提炼范文结构，获取能够应用于写作的语言信息。学生通过阅读范文，获取范文对于故事过程描写的细节信息，根据范文结构结合自己读过的侦探故事写出自己的写作提纲，并通过小组活动加以完善。
第二课时，依据范文结构和自己文章的提纲，在课上完成写作；引导学生学会欣赏他人作品，提出建议。学生通过自评和互评的形式，能够就写作的结构、内容、语言等方面对自己的文章进行修改、完善。最后根据自己的写作文章向同学介绍侦探故事。
教学内容
话题：描写自己读过的侦探故事
学习内容：阅读Mike对于侦探故事Tape-Measure Murder的介绍，根据自己读过的侦探故事进行仿写。
阅读：通过使用不同的阅读策略，获取文本主要信息，分析和归纳文章结构，关注目标语言；
写作：模仿范文结构，列出提纲，进行写作、评价和修改；
口语表达：介绍自己读过的侦探故事。
第一课时
First Perid
教学目标
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
1.通过阅读范文，提取归纳有关侦探故事情节描写的几个要素；
2.在范文中找出文中每部分所包含的主要信息，分析和归纳范文结构；
3.在范文中找出写作任务中所需的语言支持；
4.仿照范文结构，结合自己读过的故事列出写作提纲。
第二课时
Secnd Perid
教学目标：
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
1. 根据自己的写作提纲完成作文写作；
2. 在教师的引导下，就写作进行自评和修改；
3. 对写作的内容、语言和时态等几个方面进行互评；
4. 向同学介绍自己喜欢的侦探故事。
