In sutheastern Brazil, lcal fishers walk int dark waters in search f mullet(鲻鱼) On their wn, it wuld be tricky t find the silvery fish. But the humans get help frm an unusual partner: wild bttlense dlphins.
With nets in hand, the fishers patiently wait as their cetacean (鲸类的) partners drive the fish tward the shre. A signal frm the dlphins—usually a deep dive—indicates when they shuld cast their nets. This fishing partnership has passed dwn thrugh the generatins, lasting fr mre than a century.
While researchers knew humans prfited frm this pairing, they culdn't cnfirm whether it benefited the dlphins. Nw, in a new study in Prceedings f the Natinal Academy f Sciences, researchers suggest cetaceans that hunt with humans have mre chances t live than thse that dn't.
“Human-wildlife cperatin in general is a rare phenmenn at a glbal scale.” says Maurici Cantr, a bilgist at Oregn State University and leader f the study. “Usually humans gain the benefit, and nature pays the cst. But this interactin has been happening fr ver 150 years.”
Fishers were mre successful when they wrked with the dlphins. When dlphins were present, the fishers were 17 times mre likely t catch prey (猎物) and netted nearly fur times mre mullet when they timed their casting with the cetaceans' signals. Eighty-six percent f all 4.955 mullet caught during the study perid came frm “synchrnus (同时的) interactins”—when the allies rganized their actins perfectly with ne anther.
The study als revealed dlphins hunting with humans had a 13 percent increase in survival rate ver ther dlphins. These cperative dlphins are mre likely t stay near the shre, reducing their chance f entanglement (缠绕) in illegal fishing equipment. Besides, the dlphins can take sme fish directly frm the fishers’ harvest.
4.What d the first tw paragraphs talk abut cncerning Brazilian fishers?
    A. They trick dlphins int fishing fr them.
    B. They harvest mre fish with dlphins' help.

Curisity is what drives us t keep learning, keep trying, keep pushing frward. But hw des ne generate (产生) curisity, in neself r thers? Gerge Lewenstein, a prfessr f psychlgy at Carnegie Melln University, ffered an answer in the classic1994 paper, “The Psychlgy f Curisity.”
Curisity arises, Lewenstein wrte, “when attentin becmes fcused n a gap in ne's knwledge. Such infrmatin gaps prduce the feeling f deprivatin (匮乏) labeled curisity. The curius individual is mtivated t btain the missing infrmatin t reduce the feeling f deprivatin.” Lewenstein's thery helps explain why curisity is such a frce: it's nt nly a mental state but als an emtin, a pwerful feeling that drives us frward.
Scientist Daniel Willingham ntes that teachers are ften “s eager t get t the answer that we d nt devte enugh time t develping the questin.” Yet it's the questin that stimulates (刺激) curisity; being tld an answer stps curisity befre it can even get ging.
In his 1994 paper, Gerge Lewenstein nted that curisity requires sme basic knwledge. We're nt curius abut smething we knw abslutely nthing abut. But as sn as we knw even a little bit, ur curisity is arused and we want t learn mre. In fact, research shws that curisity increases with knwledge: the mre we knw, the mre we want t knw. T get this prcess started, Lewenstein suggests, take steps with sme interesting but incmplete infrmatin.
Language teachers have lng used cmmunicatin in exercises that pen an infrmatin gap and then require learners t cmmunicate with each ther in rder t fill it. Fr example, ne student might be given a series f pictures fr the beginning f the stry, while the student's partner is given a series f pictures shwing hw that same stry ends. Only by speaking with each ther (in the freign language they are learning, f curse) can the students fill in each thers' infrmatin gaps.

Cmpanies that require a return t a fully n-site mdel culd lse ne in three emplyees.Lvich agrees that emplyers need t be careful. “It’s an emplyee’s market right nw. The wrld is shrt f wrkers, and because f that we shuld really think abut what we need and feel cnfident and curageus t speak up. And a lt f cmpanies are getting that, and s it’s a real pprtunity t either shape the place yu wrk t be the place it needs t be r g smeplace else that des,”Lvich says.“Fr decades,we’ve been cntrting(扭曲)ur lives t fit arund wrk, and COVID-19 frced wrk t fit arund lives.”

This begins what I think f as fighting tables: neighbring parties raise their vice fllwed by Sam raising his until the ludest pint f the nise is reached, making us quite unppular with ther dinners.
Faced with a pssible lng-time dining alne, I decided t teach my sn table manners with his favurite chclate cake at a new mdern cake shp early ne Tuesday night.

Campers must be ages 10-17 t register. All campers must be able t swim and weigh 100 punds r mre t safely use public windsurfing equipment.(露营者必须在10-17岁注册。 A.First aid knwledge.急救知识;B.Apprpriate weight.
Skaters will be assessed n the first day f the sessin and the lessns will be adapted t their ability.(滑冰运动员将在课程的第一天进行评估,课程将根据他们的能力进行调整。)
All campers can enjy the bus service t and frm the campsites.(所有露营者都可以享受往返露营地的巴士服务。)
根据第一段“On their wn, it wuld be tricky t find the silvery fish. But the humans get help frm an unusual partner: wild bttlense dlphins.”(靠自己的话,会很难找到这些银色的鱼。 和第二段“With nets in hand, the fishers patiently wait as their cetacean (鲸类的) partners drive the fish tward the shre. A signal frm the dlphins—usually a deep dive—indicates when they shuld cast their nets. This fishing partnership has passed dwn thrugh the generatins, lasting fr mre than a century.”(手里拿着网,渔民们耐心等待鲸类的伙伴们把鱼推向岸边。
根据文章第三段“Nw, in a new study in Prceedings f the Natinal Academy f Sciences, researchers suggest cetaceans that hunt with humans have mre chances t live than thse that dn't.”(发表在《美国国家科学院院刊》上的一项新研究中。 和第四段“Human-wildlife cperatin in general is a rare phenmenn at a glbal scale.” says Maurici Cantr, a bilgist at Oregn State University and leader f the study, “Usually humans gain the benefit, and nature pays the cst. But this interactin has been happening fr ver 150 years.”(俄勒冈州立大学生物学者、该研究的负责人Maurici Cantr说: “人类与野生动物的合作在全球范围内是一种罕见的现象。
根据第五段“Fishers were mre successful when they wrked with the dlphins. When dlphins were present, the fishers were 17 times mre likely t catch prey (猎物) and netted nearly fur times mre mullet when they timed their casting with the cetaceans' signals. Eighty-six percent f all 4.955 mullet caught during the study perid came frm “synchrnus (同时的) interactins”—when the allies rganized their actins perfectly with ne anther.”(渔民在与海豚合作时更成功。
    8.答案:A
The curius individual is mtivated t btain the missing infrmatin t reduce the feeling f deprivatin. 故选A。
Scientist Daniel Willingham ntes that teachers are ften "s eager t get t the answer that we d nt devte enugh time t develping the questin." Yet it's the questin that stimulates (刺激) curisity; being tld an answer stps curisity befre it can even get ging.(科学家 Daniel Willingham指出,老师们往往"太急于得到 答案,以至于我们没有投入足够的时间来研究这个问题。"
In his 1994 paper, Gerge Lewenstein nted that curisity requires sme basic knwledge. We're nt curius abut smething we knw abslutely nthing abut.
    11.答案:C
