    This unit als tries t reflect the meaning f the theme "Disasters are merciless, peple have feelings", that is, in the face f majr natural disasters, human perseverance, mutual assistance, cnfidence and rebuild their hmes. The theme picture shws a tuching picture f a grup f PLA sldiers transprting the injured in the ruins f Wenchuan earthquake, which reflects the fearless humanitarian spirit f the army and the peple wrking tgether t help the victims in the event f a majr natural disaster, and highlights the imprtant rle and selfless dedicatin f PLA sldiers in disaster relief wrk.
    The theme f this sectin is "Describe pictures pf disasters". Students shuld master attributive clauses and be able t use these attributive clauses in the descriptin f specific things, s as t imprve their language expressin and applicatin ability. Amng them, the restrictive relative clause intrduced by that, which, wh and whm is smething that students have mastered since junir high schl, while the restrictive relative clause intrduced by whse is smething new. Accrding t the requirements f the curriculum, students nly need t master restrictive attributive clauses in the cmpulsry stage, while the knwledge f nn-restrictive attributive clauses is required in the elective stage.

    The target f this class is Senir One students, wh have acquired a certain reserve f language knwledge and a certain understanding f reading and thinking lessns after learning the required textbk. Thrugh bservatin, analysis and summary, and use the structure f restricted attributive clauses and bject cmplement t express emtins and describe situatins.
