I started t learn Chinese in middle schl, but I didn’t d well then. As time went n, I began t fail t understand the Chinese lessns in high schl because I didn’t knw the imprtant Chinese language basics. At that time, the Chinese language I learned was already HSK (汉语水平考试) 3 and 4, but I never gt t meet HSK 1 r 2. That made me miss the first flr f learning Chinese. Fr example, I didn’t knw hw t prnunce and write the Chinese characters crrectly. All I did was meet new Chinese characters withut knwing anything ther than their meanings.
Luckily, after high schl, I entered a cllege in China. The Chinese class here started with the basics, HSK 1 and 2. My Chinese teacher, Mr Yang, taught us the basics I had never knwn befre, such as the airflw (气流) in each Chinese character’s prnunciatin. He guided us very well. He shwed us hw t write each Chinese character step by step.
The class was nline, but it was enjyable and interesting. Mr Yang let us practise prnuncing Chinese wrds after him. Besides, he always asked us t take a picture f ur Chinese character writing and send it t him s that he culd crrect the mistakes fr us. The best part f this lessn was that if I had a questin in class, I culd ask him directly. Then he wuld explain the answer t the whle class. In fact, being fcused in class is the mst imprtant in learning Chinese.
