      Understand and use the cre sentence pattern t indicate lcatins: "Here’s the + place." (e.g., "Here’s the library.", "Here’s the cinema.").
      Prficiently sing the adapted "Wheels n the Bus" sng (integrating directin phrases and place names), and cmplete the "listen and fill" task f the sng lyrics accurately.
      Match directin cmmands (turn left, g straight n) with simple scenaris and identify places (library, supermarket) based n descriptins.

      1. Warm-up & Lead-in (5 minutes)
      The teacher greets students in English: "Gd mrning, bys and girls! D yu like taking the bus? Where d yu usually g by bus?" Guide students t answer in Chinese first (e.g., "去公园", "去超市").
      Play the riginal "Wheels n the Bus" sng fr 30 secnds. After listening, ask: "D yu knw this sng? Tday we will learn a new versin f it, with directins and interesting places!"
      Intrduce the lessn theme: "Tday we will learn wrds abut public places and directins, and sing the new 'Wheels n the Bus' sng. Let’s start!"

      Use the familiar bus travel tpic and sng t aruse students’ interest, cnnecting their life experience with English learning.
      The riginal sng clip creates a relaxed atmsphere and naturally leads int the adapted sng and new lessn cntent.
      2. Presentatin (20 minutes)
      Step 1: Teach directin phrases and simple wrds
      Teach directin phrases with bdy mvements:
      "G straight n": Stand straight, walk frward slwly, and say "G straight n" repeatedly. Guide students t fllw the mvement and prnunciatin.
      "Turn left": Turn left with the bdy, pint t the left, and say "Turn left". D the same fr "Turn right".
      Teach basic wrds: Shw the wrd card f "wheel" (/wiːl/), teach its prnunciatin and meaning (车轮), and link it t the bus wheel in the sng. Teach "left" (/left/) and "straight" (/streɪt/) again, cmbining with directin phrases.
      Step 2: Teach place names
      Shw PPT pictures f public places ne by ne (library, sprts centre, cinema, hspital, supermarket, museum):
      Fr each place, shw the picture and wrd card, teach the prnunciatin and explain the meaning (e.g., "library" is a place t read bks).
      Use simple gestures r examples t assist understanding (e.g., pretend t read a bk fr "library", pretend t watch a mvie fr "cinema").
      Guide students t read the place names in grups, crrecting incrrect prnunciatin (e.g., emphasizing the stress in "supermarket" n the first syllable).
      Step 3: Teach the sentence pattern and adapted sng
      Intrduce the sentence pattern "Here’s the + place.": Shw a library picture, say "Here’s the library.", and explain its meaning (这是图书馆). Invite students t make sentences with ther places (e.g., "Here’s the cinema.").
      Distribute the adapted sng lyrics sheets. Play the sng audi nce. Invite students t listen and mark the directin phrases (turn left, g straight n) and place names.
      Play the audi again, and guide students t sing alng line by line. Emphasize the cnnectin between lyrics and learned wrds (e.g., "Turn left and g straight n" uses the directin phrases).

      Shw the "listen and fill" exercise n the PPT (e.g., "The wheels n the bus g rund and rund. Turn ____ and g straight n. Ding! Ding! Ding! Here’s the ______."). Play the sng audi twice. The first time, students listen and mark the blanks; the secnd time, they fill in the blanks while listening.
      Check the answers tgether. Fr mistakes (e.g., filling "right" instead f "left"), use the directin prps t review the difference between "left" and "right".
      Activity 2: Grup PK singing
      Divide students int 4 grups. Assign each grup a verse f the sng (e.g., Grup 1 sings the library verse, Grup 2 sings the sprts centre verse). Set evaluatin criteria: sing crrectly, clearly and with emtin.
      Cnduct the "Grup PK". After each grup sings, the teacher and ther students scre with stickers. Award the "best singing grup" with extra stickers.

      Shw pictures f the 6 places n the PPT. Play the audi f place names (e.g., "library", "cinema"). Students pint t the crrespnding pictures and say the place name alud. The student wh respnds fastest gets a sticker.

      The "Grup PK" makes singing mre cmpetitive and interesting, imprving students’ participatin and singing prficiency.
      The "listen, pint and say" activity cnslidates place name recgnitin, training students’ quick respnse.
      4. Extensin: Bus stp adventure (7 minutes)
      Activity: Simulate bus travel
      Explain the activity rules: Students line up t frm a "bus". One student acts as the "driver" (guided by the teacher). The "bus" mves t the rhythm f the sng. When the "driver" says "Next stp: [Place]!" (e.g., "Next stp: Park!"), the "bus" stps. The grup mdifies the sng lyrics t include the new place (e.g., "Ding! Ding! Ding! Here’s the park.").
      Let the "bus" travel t 3-4 imaginary stps (e.g., park, z, schl). Each time, the grup sings the mdified verse. The teacher helps with lyric mdificatin and prnunciatin.

      The simulated bus travel cnnects the sng with real travel scenaris, allwing students t apply the learned wrds and lyrics flexibly.

      1. Strengths
      The warm-up with the familiar "Wheels n the Bus" sng effectively arused students’ interest, and the transitin t the adapted sng was natural. Mst students culd quickly engage in the learning prcess.
      Teaching directin phrases with bdy mvements and place names with pictures was vivid and intuitive. Mst students culd master the prnunciatin and meaning f the new wrds and phrases.
      The practice activities (listen and fill, Grup PK) were diverse and interactive, which fully mbilized students’ enthusiasm. The "Bus stp adventure" extensin activity als effectively applied the learned cntent t a simulated scenari.
      2. Weaknesses
      A few students had difficulty prnuncing lng place names like "supermarket" and "museum", ften mitting syllables r misplacing stress.
      The time fr the "Bus stp adventure" was a little tight. Sme grups did nt have enugh time t mdify the lyrics smthly, and their singing was nt in rhythm.
      When teaching "turn right", the teacher did nt give enugh cmparisn practice with "turn left", leading t sme students cnfusing the tw directins during the "listen and fill" task.
      3. Imprvement Measures
      Fr difficult lng wrds, add a "syllable splitting" practice in the next class (e.g., dividing "su-per-mar-ket" int syllables) t help students master the crrect prnunciatin.
