根据文章第一段“Recently, hmeless peple acrss Chicag faced freezing t death if they culdn’t find shelter fr the night.(最近,芝加哥各地的无家可归者如果找不到过夜的地方,就会面临被冻死的危险)”可知,芝加哥各地的无家可归者面临的最大的问题就是如果夜里找不到过夜的地方,就会被冻死。 They faced freezing t death withut shelter fr the night.或They may freeze t death staying utside fr the night。
根据文章第三段“Fr Payne, her missin was persnal. Accrding t Payne, her husband, Carls Callahan, had lived n the street at ne pint in his life. Based n his experience, Payne knew that the hmeless peple still living n the street desperately needed help and she wanted t step up. She knew hmeless peple’s struggle frm her husband’s past experience.或She knew the hmeless desperately needed help. 或She wrried abut thse stuck n the street.

根据划线单词下一句“Hwever, she insisted she had never dne it fr attentin.(然而,她坚称自己这么做绝不是为了引起注意)”中的“hwever”可知,前后存在转折关系。 故答案为Was knwn或Became famus 或Drew public’s attentin
She is a warm-hearted persn, because she cares abut hmeless peple and tries her best t help them.
