Generally-artists can histrically accurately represent their envirnment. Turner and Mnet were chsen because they are famus fr their landscape and cityscape paintings and als because they were active during, the Industrial Revlutin, when air pllutin grew at a rate never seen befre.
Additinally, researchers say that since the air in Lndn was much plluted, the cities wuld appear grey and dull t the eyes as well as in phtgraphs. By cmparing the paintings f Turner and Mnet t phts frm the era, they were able t determine the painting wrks were definitely influenced by the change in emissins.

34. What can we learn frm the passage?
A. Eurpean artists preferred landscape paintings.
B. Turner and Mnet intended t present pllutin.
C. Britain suffered mst frm air pllutin in Eurpe.
D. The research fcused n studying weather patterns.
35. What is the purpse f the text?
