V. Teaching prcedure:
Step 1. Revisin &Warming-up
1. Greetings
2. Ask and answer between the teacher and the students.
Wh is the busiest in yur family, yur father ,yur mther r yurself? Why?
What chres des yur mther d at hme?
3. Shw students sme pictures abut chres and learn the new wrds and phrases: clean the rm ,dish ,d the dishes ,sweep, sweep the flr ,make the bed ,rubbish ,take ut the rubbish ,fld ,fld the clthes
Step 2. Presentatin
1.Activity1a. Hw many chres d yu usually d at hme? Then ask and answer in pairs abut the chres. D yu usually d the chres?
2.Activity 1b Listening
Nw lk at the chart. There are three clumns here, Chres, Mm and Peter. Listen t the tape and answer: What chres des Peter’s mm d? What chres des Peter d? And finish the chart.
Check the answers with the students.
Step 3:Pairwrk
Befre wrking in pairs, students shuld review the infrmatin abut the chres in the picture and the expressins f the chres in 1a. After that, ask students t practice the cnversatin with the target language. Then fllw the sample dialgue t make cnversatins with their
partners:
A: Culd yu please sweep the flr?
B: Yes, sure. (by perfrming the actin)
A: Culd yu please d the dishes?
B: Srry, I can’t. I have t d my hmewrk.
The teacher mves arund the classrm and give sme help
as needed.
Step 4: Listening
1.Activity 2a.The teacher asks students t be familiar with the cntent f the chart and think abut the situatin that is: everyne need sme help r give sme help. if smene can’t give any help, he must be reasnable. Nw play the recrder and let students t check what Peter’s father says, “Yes” r “N” with “√” by listening t the tape.
2.Activity 2b. The teacher asks students t lk at the chart in 2a, and be familiar with the cntent f the chart
t make sure they shuld knw what t d .Then ask students t listen t the tape and draw lines t the reasns why Peter’s father says “n” in the chart abve. Then check the answers with students.
Step 5: Practice
Student A acts as Peter and asks if he can d the things Student B acts as Peter’s father saying “yes” r “n”. If student B says “n”, he shuld give a reasn. Accrding t the infrmatin in the chart in 2a, students make a dialgue t start ral practice using the target
language and fllwing the sample like this:
A: Culd I please use yur cmputer?
B: Srry. I’m ging t wrk n it nw.
A: Well, culd I watch TV?
B: Yes, yu can. But first yu have t clean yur rm.

Step 6:Summary
This lessn ,we have learnt sme new wrds and phrases abut chres .And we als have learnt hw t express :make plite requests and ask fr permissin.
Step 7:Hmewrk
1. List all the main phrases f ding chres that yu knw.
2. Make a cnversatin between yu and yur partner, using the sentence pattern “Culd yu please …?”
