In 1969, she wrked as the leader f a research team aiming t discver a treatment fr malaria. By 1972, she had managed t extract qinghasu frm a Chinese herb, which is very effective in fighting malaria. Furteen years later, she btained a New Drug Certificate fr qinghasu, issued by the Ministry f Health f China.
