课题Unit 6 When was it invented ? Section B 2a-2e教材(语篇)分析:【what】本节课Section B第二课时,是一节阅读课。 【why】本单元需要学习和掌握的阅读策略是利用思维导图帮助理清、记忆阅读语篇中的相关信息,把获取的信息转换图形来帮助记忆。积极运用阅读策略有助于皮欸杨学生主动学习的习惯。 【how】 从学习策略上看,教材侧重加强和巩固学生对思维导图这种学习策略的认识。 学情分析:(一)自然情况在前三课时学生了解了科技方面、饮食方面的一些发明,能够运用过去时的被动语态谈论发明的细节内容。本课时在前三课的基础之上进一步加深拓展。 (二)已有基础 本课时要学习的是篮球的发明故事,学生对篮球感兴趣,相当一部分学生是NBA球迷,这有助于学生很好地理解课文内容。 (三)存在问题
本课生词较多,有一些长句结构复杂势必影响学生阅读速度与文章的理解。 (四)解决措施 训练学生对于阅读提取信息要有一个整体的思路。 教学目标:通过本课学习,学生能够: 学生能学会重点词汇及目标语言 (学习理解) 阅读短文,了解篮球发明的过程。。 (应用实践) 培养学生运用思维导图记忆语篇信息的能力。 (迁移创新)教学重难点重点:阅读短文,了解篮球发明的历史。 难点:运用思维导图记忆语篇信息。 学习活动设计教师活动学生活动环节一:Activity 1 教师活动1 Lead-in Show a picture of a basketball . What sport is it ?Do you watch basketball games ?How much do you know about this sport ?Then collect the answers . Present some new words about basketball . 学生活动1 Answer the questions and discuss 活动意图说明:读前讨论有关篮球的话题,激活学生已有图式,为启动阅读作好准备。 环节二:Activity 2 教师活动2 Fast Reading What other things do you want to know about basketball ?Write down your answers . What do you know about basketball ?What do you want to know about basketball ? Stars?Rules?History ?Organizations ?Equipment ? ... 学生活动2 Ask and answers Discuss 活动意图说明:通过谈论篮球知识激发学生探究的兴趣,同时也是对语篇内容的预测。 环节三:Activity 3 教的活动3 Work on 2b Fast Reading Tell students to read the passage quickly . And find the main idea of each paragraph . The main history of basketball. How the basketball was invented by James Naismith .The popularity of basketball around the world . 学的活动3 Read the passage quickly and finish 2b . 活动意图说明:快速阅读文本,帮助学生使用略读方式了解段落的主旨大意,帮助学生了解语篇的主要结构。 环节四:Activity 4 教的活动4 careful Reading T:Now let’s read the mind map in 2c . Try to understand the meaning of it . Ask students to complete the mind map with the information in the passage . Changing the information you red into a mind map may help you remember it more easily . Students read the passage carefully and try to fill in the mind map with the proper words . Check the answer 活动意图说明:训练学生使用目标语言回答问题,以此进一步让他们掌握目标语言。 环节六:Activity 6 教的活动:What have you known after the reading ?Encourage students to try their best to say as much as they can What do you know about basketball?What do you want to know about basketball ?What have you known ? 学的活动: Discussion 活动意图说明:利用问题引导学生利用思维导图记忆信息。 环节七:Activity 7 教的活动:Ask students what they think of famous basketball players . Make a list of good and difficult things about being a basketball player. Students work in groups. Discuss them with their partners and make a list. Period 4 Section B 2a-2e Do you know when basketball was invented ? 分层作业设计 基础巩固: Do some exercises in students’ English book . 设计意图:熟记本课重点单词和短语。 能力提升:Review the passage we have learned . 设计意图:复习巩固重点单词及短语。 教学反思与改进 本节课以学生熟悉的话题入手,首先通过快速阅读让学生有目的地浏览文本,既初步了解文本内容,又能培养学生快速搜集信息,处理信息的能力。之后通过任务引导学生逐步理解文本,建立自己的思维导图,并利用导图完成说些的活动。 不足之处:1. 学生参与的广度不够。2. 文本较长,阅读时间长,后面口语表达活动准备时间不足,未能充分展开。
