陶渊明字元亮,名潜,因家中长有五棵柳树,被人称为“五柳先生”,私谥“靖节,浔阳柴桑人,出身于破落仕宦家庭。他是我国第一位田园诗人,被称为“古今隐逸诗人之宗”。曾任江州祭酒,建威参军,镇军参军,彭泽县令等,后弃官归隐。后世称靖节先生。有《陶渊明集》。其隐逸文化总的风格有三:其一是柔,其二是淡,其三是远。

梭罗,H.D., 父亲是小业主。20岁于哈佛大学毕业,曾任教师,从事过各种体力劳动。在学生时代与爱默生相识,在爱默生影响下,研究东方的哲学思想,同时以爱默生倡导的“自助”精神进行思考,形成了一套独立见解。梭罗的著作都是根据他在大自然中的体验写成。他的代表作《瓦尔登湖》(1854)记录了他于1845至1847年在康科德附近的瓦尔登湖畔度过的一段隐居生活。在他笔下,自然、人以及超验主义理想交融汇合,挥然一体。梭罗的文章简练有力,朴实自然,富有思想内容,在美国19世纪散文中独树一帜。

Althugh Ta and Threau lived in different cuntries, and their lives were separated in time by nearly 1500 years, yet they were bth pets, wh shared an intense respect fr nature, which made them each an influential figure f their time.

He spent the next 22 years since 405 until his death, wrking the land in a pr, rural area. Frm his petry, we can learn that althugh his life was arduus, he succeeded in finding cntentment in its simplicity and in drawing pleasure frm nature.
Threau had a decent quality f life, but he wanted t live in a simpler way. Fr tw years, tw mnths and tw days, he lived in a cttage in the frest n the edge f Walden Pnd, fcusing n himself and his writing. He explained his reasn fr ding s in Walden: “ I went t the wds because I wished t live deliberately, t frnt nly the essential facts f life.”
