Here is a short article on the process of becoming a teacher in Wyoming.
Step 1: Complete a Teacher Preparation Program that has been approved

Field observations and student teaching are common field experiences.

How would you translate Chairman Mao Zedong’s expression: “Bu Ai Hong Zhuang Ai Wu Zhuang”? “English or American translators might use the words: They love uniforms not gay dresses,” said Xu Yuanchong, a well-known Chinese translator and the first Asian winner of the world’s highest prize for translation, the Aurora Borealis Prize. Xu thought that this translation was correct but not beautiful at all. He cleverly used just two words — “face” and “powder” — to translate it as “To face the powder and not to powder the face”, which became one of Xu’s most representative translations.
Xu thought that the equivalence(相同) of idea, sound and form were the three basic elements found in good translation. However, his method — recreation instead of literal(字面的) — is controversial. Some people said that it was different from the original text. “I think not.” Xu replied firmly. “Western languages are comparable. It’s easy to find the equivalent of English in other languages. But it’s different in Chinese. There are only 50% of equivalents between Chinese and English. If you cannot find an equivalent, then you must find the best words to translate. To find the best word is innovation. It’s recreation,” he explained.
Xu Yuanchong likes to communicate with the younger generation about academic work, hoping that working together to spread Chinese culture will contribute to making the world a better place.
Xu Yuanchong also authored a book, which in Chinese is called “Meng Yu Zhen”, which literally means “dream and reality”. But Xu created a different English name for it. He used “A dream translated into reality”. “This summarizes my entire life. My whole life is about translating my dream into reality,” he explained.
Xu Yuanchong was an expert at translating ancient Chinese poems into English and French but even at the age of 96 had one dream still to fulfill — to translate all of Shakespeare’s works into Chinese.
    4. What does Xu Yuanchong’s translation mainly focus on?
    A. The accuracy of grammar. B. The surface meaning.
    C. Internal meaning and language beauty. D. Consistence with the original.
    5. What does the underlined word “controversial” in Paragraph 2 probably mean?
    A. Debatable. B. Conventional. C. Admirable. D. Fundamental.
    6. Why does Xu Yuanchong like to be with young people?
    A. To keep a young mind inside himself.
    B. To teach them more academic knowledge.
    C. To make up for his existing translation skills.
    D. To jointly improve the world with Chinese culture.
    7. Which of the following cam be used to describe Xu Yuanchong?
    A. Smart and tolerant. B. Creative and ambitious.
    C. Humorous and generous. D. Cooperative and sensitive.

Just as with any other subject, people who learn sign language are learning a new skill and using their brains to do this, thus expanding their minds in a new field.
A research has been carried out which proves that deaf children who learn sign language at an early age are more likely to do well academically. This is partly due to their increased ability to communicate with those around them. However, it is also because sign language is not, as many people mistakenly think, a system of gestures representing words, but a complicated language system, just as the English which is used in this article. Thus, children who learn sign language have already learn about the way language works and is made up, which will help in future studies especially if they decide to learn to speak English, or any other spoken language.
A deaf child who can use sign language develops a sense of identity. This will lead to a happier and more confident child because they know their place in the world is secure.
Again, for non-deaf children and adults who learn sign language, the academic advantages spread into social and cultural ones. Learning a language gives rise to greater confidence for those people, as they are able lo converse(交流) with someone whose peers may struggle to do so. And the skills of language learning are easily transferable into learning other languages but also into other academic pursuits.
There can be no doubt that learning sigh languages a useful attempt for anyone — whether they are deaf or non-deaf. The social and cultural advantages should not be taken lightly. And, especially with children, learning a language which helps people with a disadvantage may encourage them in the future to do more — volunteering and other such work. They can be taught to hug all people regardless of their differences.
    8. What is the second paragraph mainly about?
    A. Causes of deaf children losing their hearing.
    B. Approaches to helping deaf children recover.
    C. Difficulties of deaf children in their language study.
    D. Academic advantages of deaf kids learning sign language.
    9. Why does learning sign language make a deaf child happier?
    A. It makes a deaf child more humorous.
    B. It gives a deaf child a sense of belonging.
    C. It provides a deaf child with a life without danger.
    D. It helps a deaf child perform well in building up their body.
    10. What will a non-deaf child learning sign language be like in the future?
    A. Socially responsible. B. Slightly imperfect.
    C. Extremely intelligent. D. Financially successful.
    11. Where is the text probably from?
    A. A news report. B. A book review.
    C. A travel brochure. D. An education magazine.

A new study has found what tools designed to warn drivers and automatically stop vehicles in emergency situations helped reduce crashes by about 50 percent. The study is one of the largest of its kind to examine the effectiveness of driver assistance systems. The research was carried out by the Partnership for Analytic Research in Traffic Safety(PARTS).
One of the technologies studied is called forward collision warning. Collision is another word for crash. This system uses cameras, radar(雷达) and other technology tools to gather information on safe driving distances. It warns drivers if their vehicle is getting too dose to other vehicles ahead. Another related driver assistance tool is known as automatic emergency braking. This system is designed to identify possible crash dangers involving vehicles ahead. The tool can automatically slow or stop a vehicle if it senses the immediate danger of a crash.
The PARTS group’s study found that front to rear(后方的) crashes were reduced by 49 percent when the striking vehicle had both forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking.
A separate study recently provided similar results. That study centered on crashes involving pickup trucks. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety(IIHS) carried out the study, It found that automatic emergency braking systems reduced rear crash rates for pickups by 43 percent. Jessica Cicchino led the IIHS research. “These vehicles are larger and heavier, which makes them dangerous to people in smaller vehicles or on foot,” Cicchino said. She added, “Even though pickup trucks present more danger, producers have been slow to equip them with automatic emergency braking and other crash avoidance systems.” Cicchino advised, “The faster automakers can make sure that every pickup they sell has this important safety feature, the better.”
Both new studies confirm the effectiveness of some of the latest driver assistance systems. But it’s worth noting that some drivers using such tools often treat their vehicles like they are fully self-driving. Those drivers who put too much trust in driver assistive technologies are putting themselves at risk of serious accidents.
    12. What can an automatic emergency braking do?
    A. Send warning signals. B. Take photos to keep record.
    C. Stop the car to avoid an accident. D. Change the direction of the car.
    13. What did Cicchino advise the pickup makers do?
    A. Speed up the production of pickups.
    B. Check the safety performance of the vehicles.
    C. Make their vehicles lighter to reduce destructive fore.
    D. Equip their vehicles with safety aids as soon ab possible.
    14. What does the author think of the behaviour that drivers rely too much on assistive technology?
    A. Confusing. B. Admirable. C. Risky. D. Practical.
    15. What is the suitable title for the text?
    A. Self-driving Cars Have Many Potential Risks
    B. Vehicle Warning and Braking Systems Cut Crashes
    C. New Cars Are Developed to Improve Driving Experience
    D. The Latest Driver Assistance Systems Will Be Put on The Market

Just before Katty’s 8th birthday, she was admitted into ICU. Tears in eyes, Emma told Eden, “I can’t save Katty. I hate myself.” Eden hugged her, saying, “Emma, I thought about something, but I don’t know how to tell you. Can we make an experiment? Angel’s heart condition is very bad. She needs heart transplant. You understand what I am saying. If we can transplant Katty’s heart to Angel, our daughter’s heart will still be beating.” Emma cried and said, “I need to be alone for some time ...”
Two hours later, Emma called Angel’s parents to tell them they would have a surgery on Angel. Angel’s parents told Dr. Emma that they didn’t have the fees. Emma said, “Don’t worry for money. It will not cost you anything.” Angel was made ready for the operation. Emma took one long and last breath. After 18 hours of surgery, Katty’s heart was beating in Angel’s body. This was a very successful surgery. Seeing their daughter’s heart was beating, Emma and Eden felt relieved. Whenever they met Angel, they could feel the rhythm of Katty’s heart.
