    【教学过程】
    Step 1 Lead-in
    1.Explain the cntext. Sandy wants t write an article abut a natural disaster fr the schl newsletter. She wants t write abut the snwstrm that hit Beijing this week. Let’s help her, OK?
    2.Shw sme pictures abut the snwstrm. Talk abut them with the whle class and encurage students t make sme sentences accrding t these pictures and key wrds prvided beside each picture.
    Step 2 Writing structure
    1.Ask students t think abut hw we can rganize these ideas t describe the snwstrm. Tell them planning ahead carefully is very imprtant t create a pwerful piece f writing. We can make flw charts t help rganize ur ideas befre we start writing.
    2.Pint ut when we want t write an article, first f all, we shuld chse a tpic, and we shuld decide what t write abut. This time we are ging t write abut a snwstrm. There shuld be three main parts in such an article: Intrductin, during the snwstrm, and after the snwstrm.
    3.Students talk abut what shuld be written abut in each part in grups.
    4.Shw them sme questins and say these questins can help them rganize their ideas.
    5.D a pair wrk. Ask students t read thrugh the questins in Part B carefully and try t find ut the answers in Part A.
    They shuld finish tw tasks. Task 1, ask and answer these questins rally with their partner. Fr example, A: When and where did the snwstrm happen? B: It hit Beijing n Friday, 28th January.
    Task 2, write the crrect letters in the bxes t cmplete the flw chart.
    Then invite sme pairs t ask and answer these questins in frnt f the class.
    6.Say we have helped Sandy cmplete her flw chart. Nw let’s help her cmplete her article fr the schl newsletter. Ask students t cmplete Part C.
    7.Analyze the structure f this article with the whle class. Ask them t match the fur paragraphs with the three main parts f this article.
    Then make a cnclusin: Para 1 is the intrductin f the snwstrm. Para2 and 3 describe what happened during the snwstrm. And Para 4 describes what happened after the snwstrm.
    Step 3 Practice
    1.Say we have helped Sandy cmplete an article abut a snwstrm. Ask students t write an article abut a natural disaster by themselves
    2.Shw sme pictures abut different natural disasters. Ask students t chse any ne they wuld like t write abut.
    3.Ask sme individuals t shw his/her flw chart and talk abut it with the whle class.
    4.Students cmplete their articles.
    Step 4 Hmewrk
    1.Cllect all the useful phrases in this unit.
    2.G ver the new wrds in this unit
    3.Finish the relative exercises.
