Qi Baishi was a great master f traditinal Chinese painting. He was brn in 1864 in Xiangtan, Hunan and grew up in a pr family. He lived with his parents, grandparents and eight yunger sisters and brthers. Qi stayed in schl fr less than a year because f pr health. He started t learn painting by himself at the age f 27. At age 40, he travelled acrss China. After that, he spent all his time painting. In 1917, he started t live in Beijing and died there in 1957.
