Teaching procedures

Step 1 Warming up & Revision

1. Greet the class.

2. Make dialogues with the Ss by asking and answering.

3. Play the sharp eyes game to consolidate the numbers from 11 to 15.

4. Enjoy the song One, Two, Three, Four, Five.

5. Do the exercise.

Step 2 Presentation & Practice

1. Look and say. T shows fingers and asks How many fingers do you see? Guide the Ss to answer by using I see… Ss say out the numbers for revision.

2. Present the pictures on the screen and T asks the sentence pattern How many…do you see? Ss answer with the sentence I see… Ask some individuals to be the little T to ask the questions.

3. Find and count

  Ss in pairs make use of the picture of Find and count to make a simple dialogue—How many… do you see? I see…

  The Ss practice in pairs.

4. Present some flowers on the screen.

 Look at the flowers! Lead the Ss to say How beautiful!

Tell the Ss another sentence to say something is beau-

tiful Wow, so beautiful! Then show something beautiful to practice the sentence Wow, so beautiful!

5. Make a dialogue with the Ss. Invite some pairs of Ss to perform their own conversations.

6. Repeat the dialogue after the T, and then divide the class into groups to repeat.

7. I can say. Show some pictures on the screen to practice The… one is …

8. Listen to the listening material of Let’s talk.

9. Ask the Ss to recite the dialogue and give some time for the Ss to practice. Ss wear the masks of Wu Yifan and Amy. Act out the dialogue of Let’s talk.

Step 3 Consolidation & Extension

1. Play the changing partner game to consolidate the sentences How many… do you see? I see …

2. Ask two groups of Ss to have a race on making a new dialogue in Find and count.

Step 4 Summary & Homework

1. Present the key sentences of this lesson and then repeat and explain them again.
